Fysh Brain would like to spread the message of hope, love, affirmation and solidarity with those who have dealt with suicide, depression, addiction, self- injury and other mental health issues.

The semicolon symbol, originating from the field of punctuation, has taken on new meaning as a powerful symbol for suicide awareness and mental health. The semicolon itself represents a pause in a sentence, indicating that the thought being expressed is not yet complete. In a similar vein, the semicolon as a symbol represents the continuation of life and hope, especially in the face of struggles and challenges.

The rise of the semicolon symbol can be traced back to 2013 when a movement known as the Semicolon Project gained momentum. Started by Amy Bleuel, the movement aimed to raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention. The semicolon was chosen as a symbol to represent the personal strength and courage to keep going, just like the continuation of a sentence.

The semicolon serves as a constant reminder that everyone’s story is worth continuing and that no one should face their battles alone, it transcends language and cultural barriers
